The animation 4 x 4 was produced from a single 4 inch drawing in pencil. It emphasizes the constantly morphing image, and along with it, continuously changing meanings. Clusters of lines and shapes shuffle through multiple quick arrangements before settling on a defined form, which then continues to evolve, like thoughts racing on to the nearest next connection. Underlying these evolving forms however is a vague narrative in which a searching subject is beset and buffeted by his constantly shifting surroundings.
