Drawing Migration

Drawing Migration traces the path of a hand-drawn form as it moves across various surfaces and through multiple locations, changing and growing as it goes. Migrating from its point of origin - a sketchbook on a windowsill - and ultimately arriving at its final destination on a gallery wall, this animation probes and muddies the boundaries between two-dimensional imagery and the three-dimensional spaces that contain them, becoming a meditation on perception, space and the evolution of form. The final stage of the drawing shown in this animation was presented as a site-specific installation.
