The photographs used in the creation of this animation were taken from original Inca walls located in the city of Cusco, specifically those that line the streets Awaqpinta, Pantipata, San Agustin, Maruri, Arequipa, Hatunrumiyoc, Inka Roca, and Ruinas. Like voices from the past, are juxtaposed with the sounds and voices of contemporary Cusco city life. This animation also comments obliquely on the problematic topic of walls as barriers to the natural flow of culture and suggests instead the idea of walls as a symbol of cultural foundation and heritage.
